Cool fanfic about Fushugi Yuugi and my own charecters

Jessica awoke to a bright morning and stared at the ceiling. She was trying to avoid looking directly into the sun. "It's so bright out," Jessica muttered to herself with a groggy sort of morning voice. Crawling out of bed she reluctlantly took a quick survey of her surroundings.

She saw that she was still in fact in anchient China. A tiny flat futon style bed was what she had been sleeping on, and everything in the room was either made out of wood or bamboo. She sighed aloud as Jessica sat on the floor in front of the tiny mirror on the wall. Jessica's Japanese features were well accepted in anchient China much better than she had expected. Her hair and eye color were normal by Chineese standards. Her personality, on the other hand, didn't quite squeal the innocence of an ancient chineese woman.

As Jessica stared into the mirror, all she could think about was Nekko. He was a charming boy she met a couple of days before. She'd never really felt this way about any man before, and it was bizzare to her. Perhaps this was love? "No, that can't be," she stated to the mirror, "I'm simply attracted to him. It isn't love or anything." The mirror seemed to be telling her that she had fallen in love at first sight. As much as she was falling in love with him.... or she was "attracted to him" she knew the concequences of falling for someone here. Life for Jessica Hino only exsists 1000 years in the future. She can't start living in the past. Besides, any relationship that she may begin here, she'd have to leave behind once Mia's story ended.

Mia is Jessica's cousin. They're related by their uncles, who are twin brothers of sorts. Unlike Jessica, Mia was very sheltered as a child, and still is within her beginning adult years. What's ironic is that Jessica is the rich cousin. Although Mia lived in a fairly normal household in comparison to Jessica's Hino family riches, Mia has been spoiled to an extent that makes Jessica jelous.

That very morning when Jessica was struggling to wake herself, Mia was already wide awake. Mia had decided that she was in love with someone and there wasn't anything she was going to do about it. The person Mia had fallen in love with was Kirryu. He was one of her senshi... one of the seven people sent to protect her in her trek to free the Goddess Kame. No big deal, right?
